Friends of Groenkloof Nature Reserve
Mission: to support the conservation and rehabilitation of Groenkloof Nature Reserve, Klapperkop Hills and the surrounding green areas, and promote the conservation and sustainable utilisation (including low impact recreational activities) of the area.
These green areas are 3-5km south of the Central Business District of Pretoria, City of Tshwane, South Africa.
Our main objective for 2006-2009 is the conversion of Klapperkop Hill to a nature reserve, to fence the area in with 2,4m game fence, to build game grids on Johan Rissik drive, to re-establish plants, game and other wildlife, and facilitate hiking and cycling trails and other low impact recreational activities.
